HackerEarth is an AI-powered developer assessment software that helps companies to accurately measure a developer’s skills through online coding tests. It takes a skill-based approach to assessment, allowing companies to automatically generate standardized tests based on various skills and then accurately measure the developer’s performance on those skills.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer for our product team who can drive best design practices. Our products have grown manifolds over time and today there are thousands of small-medium businesses as well as large enterprises using them for technical talent screening and innovation management. We have disrupted the talent assessment industry with high-quality product and speed of execution. We are also in the forefront helping medium and larger businesses innovate through our innovation management tool. As a Senior Product Designer at HackerEarth, you will:

  • Own up a product end to end, responsible for setting the design vision for the product.
  • Mentor junior UX designers and guide them.
  • Own up the UI and UX philosophy for the product while ensuring that it meets the general design philosophy of the company
  • Independently own up some components of the product, where you will be responsible for creating workflows, wireframes and UI components.
  • Work closely with the product manager to solve user problems by following the UCD process to come up with user-friendly solutions.
  • Work closely with developers to implement your solutions, discuss with engineering on how the latest technologies can help in creating better product design.
  • Orchestrate and conduct user studies.
  • Multitask, prioritize projects, communicate progress and expected milestones.
  • Interact and collaborate with other design teams in the company
  • Create aesthetic designs for complex products.
  • Work with other engineering and design team, facilitate discussion among them, and provide a framework for inter-team collaboration.
  • Take key UX decisions and set-up best practices for the UX design team.

Must have

  • 4+ years experience designing interaction models that span multiple devices
  • Proficient with UCD process
  • Experience with user research
  • Proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator/Sketch.
  • Familiarity with the agile development process
  • Basic HTML & CSS knowledge
