Growth Marketing Specialist - Hackathons

HackerEarth is an AI-powered developer assessment software that helps companies accurately measure a developer's skills through online coding tests. It takes a skill-based approach to assessment, allowing companies to automatically generate standardized tests based on various skills and then accurately measure the developer's performance on those skills.

We're seeking a Program Manager to join our passionate Marketing team. The Program Manager will be the go-to person and specialist for our product Sprint used by our clients for conducting hackathons. Please note, this will be an evening Shift role. (3 PM to 11 PM)


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously engage Hackathon enthusiasts from HackerEarth’s developer community
  • Drive demand, registrations, and submissions for HackerEarth’s hackathons and hiring challenges through developer community outreach via email, slack groups, paid channels, etc. 
  • Devise and execute marketing strategies for hackathons tailored to individual customer requirements. Identify newer channels and opportunities that can help drive participation in hackathons globally.
  • Sync with the CSM and Sales teams as the marketing SPOC regularly to ensure maximum participation for online events and communicate the event agenda to the participants.
  • Keep a close check on the performance of marketing initiatives and provide timely inputs to optimize the reach and drive results
  • Prepare reports and present success metrics after every hackathon campaign
  • Scaling Branding & Engagement and Ads category under the hackathon team


Required Skills:

  • Experience running Paid marketing campaigns (B2C) or other growth marketing initiatives
  • 3+ years of experience driving growth campaigns, community management, or end-to-end program management
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment will be an added advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An engineering degree is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Prior experience running hackathons is preferred, but not mandatory
