HackerEarth also has a community version of the product that is used by developers all across the globe, to assess their coding skills, become better at it and measure their true potential. We’re looking for a creative wordsmith and blogger, who loves the long-form and the idea of creating a brand identity through written content. While the HackerEarth blog will be your primary playground, we will call upon your expertise to ideate and brainstorm for our quarterly charters, content campaigns, social calendars, newsletters, and maybe even for PR -  and anything and everything that revolves around content. 

What do you need to land this job? Stellar writing skills, first. A quirky bent of mind, and a bucket-load of fun ideas. A love for Murakami will warm the cockles of your manager’s heart, but it’s not a mandate. A nose for sniffing out stories, the willingness to create differentiation through your talent, and the desire to create a unique voice for the brand will trump your rejection of Murakami (if so be the case). Being a non-a**hole will be a major plus, and helpful, since you’d need to talk to multiple stakeholders across teams at all times. 

Roles And Responsibilities:

We’ll keep it short and sweet.

  • Understand how content can help bridge the gap between brand and end-user
  • Understand the HackerEarth product suite and become the in-house champion for advocating its benefits via content
  • Help the customer-facing teams with assets 
  • Own the blog charter from ideation to execution
  • Be a part of the PR team and help with strategy and content creation
  • Help out with any other content-related needs from different teams such as case studies, videos, and testimonials depending on need

To Be Successful In This Role, You Must Have:

  • Content writing experience of at least 3-4 years. B2B experience will be helpful, but skills trump experience :)
  • The ability to take complete responsibility and ownership and work autonomously
  • An ability to multitask, and a respect for deadlines
  • Excellent collaboration skills so you can work easily with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Unmatched enthusiasm to keep up with the rest of our team
  • Outstanding communication skills and creativity
  • Experience with writing various forms of content and the desire to experiment with more
